La historia de la arquitectura pues, se podría considerar en cierto modo la historia de la casa; esta evolución se ha desarrollado entre una permanente tensión entre el valor mítico, perenne, de intrínseco contenido propio de la función: la casa como refugio, espacio para habitar, aglutinante de la familia; y aquel otro que formaliza la abstracción del pensamiento, la expresión de las ideas que la convierten en un objeto experimental de pequeña escala: la casa como manifiesto.

La idea del proyecto es incorporarse al paisaje más que adentrarse en él, sin olvidar el fuego, aire, agua, luz, y como no, los árboles. Quizás se consigan las intenciones, esperemos resultados.&#38;nbsp;

CEMENTERIO MUNICIPAL DE SARRIASarria, Lugo

La ampliación del Cementerio Municipal de Sarria se ubica sobre un lugar con un fuerte contenido histórico, con la notable presencia del Monasterio Mercedario de La Magdalena, cuyos orígenes se datan en el siglo XIII, y la profunda huella histórico-cultural del Camino de Santiago (Camino Francés). &#38;nbsp; 
PLAZASe ha pretendido convertir el lugar en un espacio público con carácter de estar y permanecer, de descanso y observación, de disfrute de elementos construidos y de elementos naturales. El lugar es el punto de transición entre los recorridos urbanos y los recorridos rurales. Se recuperan elementos singulares constituidos por restos existentes de antiguos muros de cierre de las propiedades monacales, que se incorporan como piezas de mobiliario que ayudan a recuperar parte del carácter histórico de la zona y a la vez a ordenar ésta. En la parte más baja se integra el espacio urbano en el entorno natural.El pavimento se desarrolla siguiendo unas líneas que reflejan en el plano del suelo las diferentes alineaciones volumétricas de las edificaciones, muros y elementos construidos del entorno. El mobiliario complementa la idea.
EL EDIFICIO El acceso, el frente, el edificio de servicios y el cierre del recinto funerario, se resuelven de un modo sumamente neutro, a modo de muro de piedra.La integración se busca mediante la disposición de su cubierta, pétrea, que partiendo del nivel de la calle permite pasear sobre ella generando un mirador-observatorio mínimamente elevado desde el que apreciar una nueva perspectiva de la fachada sur del Monasterio. El edificio pasa a formar parte de la futura plaza de San Roque, en donde la pérgola-dosel genera un lugar cubierto y protegido en el conjunto.Interiormente se crea una zona propia de servicios y una capilla &#38;nbsp;en cuyo espacio interior se refleja la topografía del lugar, a la vez que se logra, mediante la ubicación de los huecos exteriores, una relación íntima entre el espacio interior y el exterior, incorporando la discreta visión del arbolado circundante y una matizada penetración de la luz natural.
EL CEMENTERIO Se amolda a la topografía del lugar, buscando enfatizar con ello la preeminencia del Monasterio como referente formal perceptible del Camino de Santiago.  La ordenación de la ampliación define en principio un vial de acceso en dirección norte-sur.Los nichos se desarrollan entorno a pequeñas plazuelas que componen lugares por si mismos. Se ha pretendido recuperar el entorno íntimo próximo al ser querido.

Una calle se transforma en una Plaza: zonas para estar, para vivir, para representar…; se convierte en un espacio que envuelve el edificio institucional que lo preside y penetra en el espacio verde privado de acceso a los garajes para transformarlo en un lugar ordenado, silencioso, estimulador de los sentidos: colores, texturas, olores, volúmenes… El jardín invade lo urbano; lo urbano invade el jardín.

Pavimentos que se diluyen hasta transformarse en otros, que se desencajan hasta convertirse en mobiliario. Fuentes que se transforman en juegos; juegos que iluminan el espacio.

¿Cómo es posible? Quizás la magia de la arquitectura…

El proyecto intenta plasmar la relación moderno-tradicional, a través de un contenedor sencillo que albergará piezas sacadas en muchos casos de su contexto, pero de una belleza incomparable. Se busca el contraste como forma de relacionar ambas ideas, a la vez que la sencillez del contenedor haga que la atención del visitante se centre en los objetos.&#38;nbsp;

Rehabilitación - IGLESIA DE SAN MAMEDESan Mamede, Lugo

La intervención que se propone se ciñe inicialmente a una restauración, que en determinados elementos supondrá una reconstrucción, del edificio existente.

Como paso inicial se proyecta el desmontaje de los restos de la cubierta que se conservan y la reconstrucción total de ésta utilizando madera de castaño como material propio y tradicional de estos edificios. Se plantea la reconstrucción de la nueva cubierta utilizando el método constructivo actual, observable en los restos existentes.

La observación de los muros de fachada, elementos de carga estructural realizados con mampostería de pizarra, permite ver sus malas condiciones de estabilidad. Se propone la consolidación de aquellas zonas en buen estado mediante una limpieza de la piedra y un posterior rejuntado. Junto a ello existen amplios paramentos en los que resulta necesaria su demolición o desmontaje parcial para, reutilizando todo el material existente que sea posible, reconstruirlos con el grado de verticalidad que se requiere.

Siguiendo el criterio de máximo aprovechamiento de lo existente se proyecta la reutilización de los pavimentos actuales de pizarra del país en losas de gran tamaño, si bien se propone una regularización de sus formas.

&#38;nbsp;Finalmente se incorporarán pequeños elementos indispensables, con una interpretación más actual, como las piezas de carpintería y las nuevas luminarias.
 
Exteriormente se reconstruye el cierre del atrio con muro de mampostería de pizarra, aprovechando y conservando las superficies del mismo que resulten en un estado adecuado. Se proyecta una mínima ordenación del espacio exterior mediante la definición de unos mínimos pavimentos que, al mismo tiempo, faciliten el acceso al edificio; creándose a su vez un orden en el entorno de los nichos existentes y adecuando el aspecto exterior de los últimos en crearse, en los que se oculta con aplacado de granito el enfoscado de su acabado superficial buscando una mayor integración del volumen que generan.
 
La adecuación de un pequeño espacio de acceso al borde del camino como zona de transición entre éste y la escalera de acceso al atrio termina por definir la actuación de conjunto.
